

Jim W. Koch, 73, of Beaverton, OR died Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at Meridian Park Hospital, Beaverton. He is the husband of Lesa (Hill) Koch.
Jim was born on a snowy day in Bethlehem, PA on February 1, 1949 to the late James and Elizabeth (Pearson) Koch. He graduated from Palisades High School (1967) and Gettysburg College (1971). Jim then served in the Navy for 6 years, with the last tour aboard the USS Enterprise aircraft carrier. Upon leaving the Navy, he worked as a support technician for Guaranteed Office Supply in San Francisco and later joined Intel as a manager until retiring in 2003 while at the Hillsboro facility. After retiring, he volunteered at the Southridge High School library and also as an assistant Boy Scout leader. He also enjoyed playing video games and solving puzzles.
Jim is survived by his son, Tom, of Beaverton, OR; siblings Linda R. (Bruce) Savitz of Quakertown, PA, Karen L. and David L. both of Coppersburg, PA; and his nephew Matt Dierksmeier of Charlotte, North Carolina.
There will be a viewing on Sunday, August 28, 2022 at Pegg, Paxson and Springer Funeral Chapel, 4675 SW Watson Ave., Beaverton, OR 97005 from noon to 4:00 PM.
