Jose Piedra Roque Jr.

It is with a heavy heart to share the passing of Jose P. Roque, Jr who died on January 12, 2022 at the age of 73. He is survived by his wife, Josefina, their four children, Jeraldine, Jaymee, Jeff, John Paul and their loving family and friends.

Jose, better known as Jun, was born on August 19, 1948 in the City of San Fernando, Pampanga, Philippines. He met the love of his life in 1970 and got married in 1976. He had many different jobs throughout his life from working for the Civil Aeronautics Administration at the Manila International Airport, to starting his own construction company, and then later working in manufacturing. Regardless of what role, he put his heart and soul into his work, so that he could provide a better future for his family.

During his free time, Jun enjoyed tending to his garden to make sure it was manicured and ready for the Spring blossoms. He enjoyed maintaining the family cars to make sure they were always clean and the car rims polished. He enjoyed perfecting his signature dishes in the kitchen such as tocino and longanisa (Filipino sausage); Jun would gladly welcome and serve these to everyone in his kitchen. Most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with his loved ones. One of his greatest joys was spoiling his grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Pegg, Paxson & Springer Funeral Chapel - 4675 SW Watson Ave, Beaverton, OR 97005 on Friday, January 28, 2022 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm.

Catholic Mass service will be held at St. Cecilia’s Parish - 5105 SW Franklin Ave, Beaverton, OR 97005 on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 9:30 am.

Interment will take place at Skyline Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home - 4101 NW Skyline Blvd, Portland OR 97229 on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 11:00 am. Refreshments will follow immediately after.
