Lois Hughes, 93, of Beaverton OR died August 21st surrounded by family. Lois was born July 9th, 1929 in Trail, BC Canada. The Fitzpatrick family lived in Trail and Nelson BC until 1941 when at the age of 12 Lois and family moved to Seattle Washington. Lois graduated from Lincoln High School in Seattle and then worked in the banking industry until 1951.
Lois met her husband David of Seattle and married in 1951. They had four children; Diane, Bob, Ed and Mike. Lois continued working in banking until Ed and Mike started attending Our Lady of the Lake school, where Lois began working as an assistant to the principal. Lois continued her work in numerous school systems until retiring in 1988 from the Beaverton School District.
Lois and David spent their retirement years traveling to numerous countries and across the US and Canada in their mobile homes. They loved to square dance, golf and play cards well into their late 80’s.
Lois is survived by her two sisters, Joan Carlson and Anne Rosenfeld, her four children Diane, Bob, Ed and Mike. She also was blessed to have 16 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Service arrangements to follow.
