

He attended Hayward Elementary and graduated from St. Matthew’s, Hillsboro High School, and Willamette University, where he served in the Navy’s V-12 program, also attending Officer Training for the Navy in Chicago. On June 12, 1954 he married Cora Lee Cunningham, and that year they moved to Beaverton. Soon after he started the Mark Crunican Insurance Agency, which he sold in 1997. He had 50 years of perfect attendance between the Beaverton and Cedar Hills Kiwanis, where he was a past President, and also frequently attended the Washington County Public Affairs Forum and the Beaverton Elks.
Mark was an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed many years as a dance instructor and loyal Blazer fan.
He was predeceased by his wife Cora Lee, brothers Donald and Charles, and sister Tresa Van Winkle.
He is survived by his sister Frances Foster of Portland, brother William of Cornelius, sons Daniel of Portland and Bruce and daughter-in-law Rhonda of Beaverton, daughter Grace and his grandchildren Sarah and Andrew of Alameda, CA, and many other relatives.
Services will be held on June 27, 2013 at 11 AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Beaverton. Donations to Willamette University or Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp.
