Marjorie “Marge” Gladys Miller, born March 24, 1925 in Portland, Ore., passed away Jan. 6, 2016. Marge lived her life to the very fullest. She spent her days always smiling and caring for others. She raised four amazing kids, then took care of her grandkids. She worked for 20 years in the childcare at Sunset Athletic Club.
Marge loved crocheting baby sweaters, hats and blankets. She loved being around family, playing games, shopping, and watching the Oregon Ducks, and cooking shows. Marge laughed the most at her family. She enjoyed watching us dance around the room, act out silly games or when we’d tell her silly jokes.
Marge taught us what love truly is and how to care for and treat others. She did this through honesty, compassion, a listening ear, a good deed, and a pure heart.
Marge would love to be remembered by her kind heart, fun-loving attitude and warm, welcoming home. Also, by her Christmas cookies, and her 24-hour salad that no one else could master.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, Jan. 12 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church, with interment to follow at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
