Mrs Baker was such a wonderful lady who loved to share her musical  talents with the younger generation. My son, Colton, had the privilege of spending time singing with her but most of all developing a friendship.  We will always cherish the time with her. We are so sorry for your loss. 

Mrs. Baker was a fabulous teacher!!! She had such a love for music and teaching it. I thoroughly enjoyed her as my music teacher in school and with piano. The community has lost a great soul! 

She was a beautiful person with a beautiful soul.  She touched more lives than she would ever know and was loved by many. RIP Ms. Baker. 

Mrs. Baker was my elementary school music teacher. She was a sweet, loving generous soul. My prayers go out to her family as you mourn her loss. She will be missed. 

Mrs. Baker was my first choir director at Montgomery Presbyterian Church in Montgomery WV.  I sang my first church solo (Fairest Lord Jesus) and I’ve gone on to sing a lot of music in and out of church.  It all started with Mrs. Baker.  I don’t know if Anne will remember me, but I remember her and her family fondly.  Bless you all during this time.  May your memories bring you peace.  The choir in heaven has gained a beautiful voice.❤️

Barbara was such an important part of the joyful experience that being a minister at Fayetteville Presbyterian turned out to be. So many happy memories of her leadership and positive attitude. Every time I am in a service and the congregation sing the hymn  'Holy, Holy, Holy' I can still hear her beautiful soprano voice singing the descant. 'Well done thou good and faithful servant.'

Mrs. Baker was my elementary school music teacher. She was always a beautiful and sweet lady. My condolences to Holly and the rest of her family. 

She was a talented lady, I enjoyed performing with her, and we enjoyed knowing her and her fine singing.  Doc and Ruth

To all the family..what a dear lady your mom..grandma was..she called me "Jet" and I can hear it like she is with me now..I was at the home in school and always greeted with loving kind words..love and hugs..the piano teacher that everyone knew and loved..To all the family..never be afraid to cry cause each tear is a memory...your hearts will be full with many..Barbara Lawhorn Baker Rest in Peace...play that piano in Heaven androck the Heavens.

Barbara Baker touched the lives of many! I took several years of piano and voice lessons with her, which helped me enter Concord University on a music scholarship. So blessed to have had the privilege.

Mrs. Baker was my music teacher at Fayetteville Elementary School. She always held a Christmas music program that everyone enjoyed. Her love for music and children was always apparent. May God’s peace provide her family with comfort. 

Barbara gave me voice lessons when I attended the Presbyterian Church. I was so honored to be in her choir, both church and Community.  She had an amazing gift and love of music and she shared it with everyone.  I have much respect and many, many good memories with this sweet lady.   She was a true lady- always dressed and behaved as a lady should!  I learned many things from her- not only musically.  From the day we met, she called me “Sugar.”  My thoughts and prayers are with her family and the entire community.  Mrs. Baker definitely leaves an amazing legacy behind and will always live within the music she shared with all of us. 

Ms Baker gave me piano and voice lessons. I was never a great piano player or a great singer but she did her best to pull what little talent I had out of me. Rest In Peace and I know she’s the piano for the lord.
