Betty Jean Wright

87, of Indianapolis, passed away on January 10, 2014. Betty was born on April 29, 1926 to the late John and Eva Moore. Betty is survived by two sons, Jeff (Debbie) Wright, Greg (Becky) Wright and one daughter, Kathy (Brad) Johnson; four grandchildren, Angie Markland, Jason (Alison) Wright, Ryan (Britney) Johnson, and Taylor Johnson; and three great-grandchildren, Briana Markland, Madison Markland, and Adyson Lee Wright.

Betty graduated from Arsenal Tech High School. She worked at Wassons downtown as an elevator operator, Bealls Clothing Store in Beech Grove and Spaulding Jewelry Store in Beech Grove. She enjoyed playing in her Euchre Club and was a member of The Red Hat Society. She attended the Beech Grove United Methodist Church.

Betty was a kind and loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held in Little and Sons Beech Grove Chapel on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be in the funeral home on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at 11 a.m. Burial will immediately follow in Washington Park East Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s association.
