Darris Stephens

Darris worked as a diesel mechanic for Dorsey Paving for 50 years. He was a storyteller and a family man. He loved spending time with his family more than anything else. Darris also loved animals, especially his cat. Darris will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Darris is survived by his children, Garry (Tina) Stephens, Danny Stephens, Patricia (Donald) Collette, Loretta (Paul) McClelland, Cindy (Dave Grantham) Collins and Bonnie (the late Nick Greear) Bondarevich; 12 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and siblings, Henry, Darrell, Johnny, Mitchell, Edna, Jackie, Lester, Rosie and Curtis. Darris was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Stephens; parents, Earl and Ruby Stephens; sons, Timmy and Larry Stephens; and siblings, Estell, Melvin, Junior, Anna and Eddie.

A visitation for Darris will be held Monday, January 3, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Little & Sons Funeral Home, 1301 Main Street, Beech Grove, Indiana 46107, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM.

Darris will be laid to rest in Floral Park Cemetery, 425 N. Holt Road, Indianapolis, Indiana 46222.
