Born on October 23, 1952, Debbie grew up with a deep appreciation for family, hard work, and laughter. She spent her life lifting others up, whether through her bright smile, her thoughtful advice, or her kind and giving nature. She had a special way of making everyone feel seen and loved.
For more than 15 years, Debbie worked as a manager at Catherine’s, where she poured her heart into her job and the people she met. She had an incredible eye for fashion and truly loved helping women feel confident and beautiful. Her coworkers and customers alike adored her for her warmth, sense of humor, and the genuine care she gave to everyone who walked through the door.
Outside of work, Debbie loved to enjoy life to the fullest. She especially loved trips to the casino, where she found fun and excitement, and her travels to Las Vegas were some of her favorite adventures. Whether she was planning her next getaway or simply spending time with her family, she embraced life with joy, laughter, and a little sparkle.
Debbie’s greatest pride and joy, however, was her family. She shared a great life with her devoted husband, Paul Whitehouse. She was a wonderful mother to her only daughter Kerry Jared and her spouse William Jared, and a deeply cherished grandmother to Maria Moore (and her partner James), David Jared (and his partner Brooke), Tyler Jared (and his spouse Lacy), and Brianna. Debbie also adored her great-grandchildren ; Emma Moore, Wayde Moore, and Isaac Jared , who brought her endless happiness and light.
To her family, Debbie was more than a mother, wife, and grandmother, she was the heart of the family. She loved holidays, family dinners, and every little moment that brought everyone together. Her laughter could fill a room, and her presence made every gathering feel special.
Debbie will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and her love for life. She had an incredible ability to find joy in the simple things like a slot machine win or time spent with those she loved most. Her spirit will live on in the memories, stories, and hearts of everyone who was lucky enough to know her.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, October 7 2025 from 10:00am to 2:00pm with a service to follow. All will be held at Little and Sons Funeral Home located at 1301 Main Street, Beech Grove IN 46107.
