72, of Beech Grove, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2011. He was born May 16, 1938 in Indianapolis to the late Ernest and Jeroline Ellis. Floyd was a 1957 graduate of Shortridge High School. He proudly served in the United States Army and National Guard. Floyd later graduated from Sam Tech (now Ivy Tech). He worked as a carpet installer and general manager at Service Master for 15 years. He also worked at BQ Products and Warren Gregory & Sons. Floyd was a member and Past Governor of the Beech Grove Moose Lodge #1883; member and Past President of the Lawrence Sertoma Club; very active with the Boy Scouts of America Northeast District; and member of the Indiana Landmarks. He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy L. Ellis; son, Duane E. Ellis; daughter, Jackie Jean Franklin; grandchildren, Jennifer, Julia, and Jeff; 5 step-grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A memorial visitation will be held Friday, April 29, 2011 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Little & Sons Funeral Home Beech Grove Chapel, where the memorial service will be Saturday, April 30, 2011 at 10:00 a.m.
