Halla Lorene Jones

Halla was born on October 5, 1959. She is preceded in death by her mother, Donna DeSpain, father, Harold (Bob) DeSpain, a brother Jimmy DeSpain, and a sister during infancy, Ida DeSpain.

Halla received Jesus Christ as her Saviour as a teenager. She had two sons, Kenneth Jones, Jr. and Bradley Jones. She received her GED and worked for many years as a CNA in nursing homes and rehab services. She had been a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church and Indianapolis Baptist Tabernacle, where she served in choir and nursery ministries. Halla thrived in helping others and giving gifts and encouragement to her loved ones.

Halla enjoyed music, flower gardening and had several collections. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren above everything else. At each visit, Halla made sure to have a gift for each grandchild.

She is survived by sons, Kenneth (Amy) Jones of Covington, Indiana, and Bradley Jones of Indianapolis, brother Carl (Carrie) DeSpain of Acton, Indiana, six grandchildren: Garland, Benjamin, EveAnn, Samuel, Paige, and Bradley, and nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be Thursday, April 17 at 12:30pm at Little and Sons Funeral Home, 1301 Main Street, Beech Grove, officiated by Pastor Doug Keppel. Visitation will be from 11:00am to the time of the service.
