 Obituario de J. Max Brenton
J. Max Brenton 75, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2021 with his wife and children by his side. Max loved his life and lived it the fullest. He was a wonderful Husband, Father, Poppy, Son, Brother and Friend. Max will be missed and his legacy will live on forever. Max was a graduate of Beech Grove High School and continued his education at Indiana University. He married Rebecca Wheatley Brenton on June 27, 1965 after becoming high school sweethearts years earlier. Max went on to have a successful career with the Indianapolis Police Department and retired after 20 years on the force. After retirement Max went to work for Boehringer Mannheim (now known as Roche Diagnostics) and became their International Security Director and retired in 2015. Max loved to travel the world with his wife of 55 years. They traveled to London, Italy, Germany, Australia, Czech Republic, Spain, Portugal, Scotland, Switzerland, France, Ireland, Africa, Belgium, Canada, Jamaica, Virgin Islands, Finland, and all over the Caribbean, including Aruba and Mexico. They spent their 50th wedding anniversary in Bora Bora. They loved visiting NYC and attending Broadway Plays. He also bought his beloved wife a home in the Keys after retirement where they loved to relax, swim and most of all fish! His passion in life was watching his grandson, Ashe (who shared his birthday) play baseball. He never missed a game. He went on to witness Ashe being drafted into Major League Baseball. Poppy was more than proud. In Max's honor the family is requesting that you come dressed in casual, fishing or tropical attire. Max would want everyone to be comfortable! Max is survived by his loving wife; Rebecca A. (Wheatley) Brenton, daughter; Rachele A. (Valarie) Brenton, son, Jared M. Brenton, grandchildren; Ashelee, Amber, Blake, Brooke and Destiny, along with 2 great grandchildren, mother; Margaret Brenton, sister; Margaret (Dave) Spear and brother; David (Geneva) Brenton. Max was preceded in death by his father; James P. Brenton and his mother and father-in-law; Lloyd and Lee Wheatley. Visitation will be held at Little and Sons Funeral Home in Beech Grove on Friday, May 7, 2021 from 3:00pm - 8:00pm. A Celebration of Life Service will be at the Funeral Home on Saturday, May, 8, 2021 at 11:00am with one hour of visitation prior to the start of the service. Burial will take place at Acton Cemetery. Little and Sons Funeral Home is currently under the following COVID restrictions: 50 guests for visitation, 50 guests for the funeral service and masks must be worn inside the building.
