She was born on April 12 in Chicago, IL to Charles Edward and Mary Jane Dove. She graduated from Havelock High School in Havelock, NC in 1970.
Over the course of her career, she worked at Dr. Berger’s Dentist Office, St. Francis Hospital, and for the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Dennis Dove; and her husband, Russell Vander Veen. She is survived by her brother, Brian Dove, and her daughter, Jessica Lothrop.
Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside memorial at Crown Hill Cemetery on Friday, May 29, 2026 at noon.
