Janice Fay Buse, age 76, of Beech Grove, Indiana passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2023. Janice was born in Topeka, Kansas to the late Valerie (Ephramson) McKinney and Vernon McKinney. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Michael Buse. Janice was the matriarch of the family as the anchor of holiday traditions and caregiver to all, especially her husband. She was involved in Scouts with her children and loved fishing. Janice was a self taught crocheter and also worked as a professional seamstress and upholsterer. Earlier in her working career she was one of the first female IPD officers. Later in life she enjoyed trips to Florida to enjoy seafood and cherished her favorite role as Memaw.
Janice is survived by her children, Andrew Buse (Caroline), Erin Thomas (Luke), and Jennifer Buse; siblings, Larry McKinney, Don McKinney (Dodie), and Dennis McKinney (Debbie); and grandchildren, Evelyn Thomas, Samuel Thomas, Elora Thomas, Raimi Buse, Dryden Kendall, and Mason Kendall.
A memorial gathering for Janice will be held Friday, June 16, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Little & Sons Funeral Home, 1301 Main St Beech Grove, Indiana 46107.
