Lloyd A. Scales

66, of Indianapolis, passed away Sunday, April 25, 2010. The son of Charles and Beatrice Scales, he was born August 14, 1943 in Louisville, KY. Lloyd was a proud veteran of the United States Army. On January 18, 1969, Lloyd married the love of his life, Rita E. Buchanan. In 1996, after 30 years of service, he retired from AT & T as Transportation Manager. Lloyd was a member of Beech Grove United Methodist Church, founding member of W.A.F.F.L.E, and leader in AWANA for numerous years. He is survived by his beloved wife, Rita E. Buchanan Scales; children, Kenneth R. (Elaine) Scales, Steven K. (Tamara) Scales, LaDonna M. (Matthew) Neuhaus; grandson, Justin D. Scales; and mother, Beatrice Scales. His father, Charles Scales, and brothers, Robert and Raymond Scales, preceded him in death. Visitation is Wednesday, April 28, 2010 from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Little & Sons Beech Grove Chapel, where the funeral is Thursday, April 29, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
