Pamela Kay Scheigert

Pamela was born on August 21, 1953, in Indianapolis to Henry and Leta “Cleo” Huxley. She was raised in Beech Grove, where she met the love of her life. On November 20, 1971, she married Robert Scheigert at Holy Name Catholic Church.

Pamela dedicated many years to raising her children as a stay-at-home mom while also working from home as a beautician. As her children grew older, she became a school bus driver for both Beech Grove and Triton Central.

Pamela was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Leta “Cleo” Huxley, and her brother, Robert “Wayne” Huxley.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Robert Scheigert; her children, Mark Scheigert, Lisa (Robert) Denton, and Melissa (Tony) Winslow; and her grandchildren, William Denton, Ainsley Denton, Madison Wright, Hannah Wright, Cloe Wright, Bradley Wright, and Anthony Winslow.

She loved to travel, sew, and spend time with her children and grandchildren. Pamela especially enjoyed visiting small-town, homemade-style restaurants, attending Catholic church chicken dinners, and exploring craft fairs. She also cherished taking memorable girls’ trips with her daughters and granddaughters, gathering with family for holidays and celebrations, and relaxing at home with her dogs, Lucy and Bella, and her cat, Kitty.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 9, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church.

A funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 AM, with Fr. Bob Robeson officiating. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery.
