Vickie Sue Martin

Vickie Sue Martin, 70, of Bloomfield, entered into eternal rest on October 1, 2023. She was born on February 27, 1953 in Indianapolis to the late Duane Goodlet and Melvina Grande. Vickie ran a daycare for fifty years and was also a homemaker. She loved sewing, crafting, and playing games on her tablet. Vickie also enjoyed cooking, cleaning, and shopping. She could often be found outdoors where she would ride on the motorcycle with her husband, go camping, or canoeing. Hosting family gatherings was very important to her.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Stephen Martin II; sister, Rose Stewart; brother, Mike Goodlet; and grandson, Peyton Hutson.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Stephen Martin; children, Beverly Lynch, Michael (Kelly) Martin, and Tiffany Martin; grandchildren, Barbara Johnston, Zachary (Yomisha) Rees, Ashley (Shawn) Rees, Cassey (Shane) Rees, and Philip (Alena) Hutson Jr.; great grandchildren, Philip III, Braxtyn, Gary, Axel, Brayden, Shawn, Alycia, Jeremiah, and Leland; sister, Kelly Crockett; brothers, Danny, Reggie, and Robert Goodlet, Kenny Ludlow, and Chris (Lisa) Martin.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 9, 2023 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM with the Funeral Service to follow at 1:00 PM at Little & Sons Funeral Home – Beech Grove, 1301 Main Street, Beech Grove, IN 46107. Burial will be held in New Crown Cemetery, 2101 Churchman Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46203.
