

Bill Gold, 87, passed away on May 28, 2013. Born to Joseph and Harriet (Klampt) Gold, on April 15, 1926, he was a Beech Grove resident for over eight decades. He lived a life of passion for his faith, family and friends. He was a Cathedral High School, class of 1944 graduate. He joined the US Navy and served a tour of duty in the South Pacific during World War II. Upon his return, he attended Butler University and embarked upon a career in sales, retiring from Gold Printing Supply Company in 1991.
His extensive life of travel and leisure were a source of pride. His favorite times were any activity in which family and friends were involved and he was especially fond of his five wonderful grandchildren.
A lifelong man of faith, he was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church in Beech Grove. Bill was a long-time member of the Knights of Columbus and served as Faithful Navigator in the 4th Degree from 1992 – 1993.
He leaves behind his two daughters, Janet (Steve) Taylor and Carol (Jeff) Taylor, his grandchildren, Amy (Kevin) Johnson, Nick Gold, Dan (Jenny) Taylor, Courtney Taylor and Matt (Samantha) Taylor and great grandchildren, Hannah Gold, Olivia Johnson, Zachary and Nathan Taylor.
In heaven, he reunites with his wife of 55 years, Milly, and sons, Joe and Jim.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on May 31, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Name Church, 89 N. 17th Ave., Beech Grove, Indiana. Visitation will be on May 30, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Little & Sons Funeral Home, 1301 Main St., Beech Grove, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to Holy Name Catholic Church at the above address.
