Jose A. Torres was born February 24th, 1963 in Zacatecas, Mexico and was the youngest child of Hermelinda Perez and Jesus Torres. Jose came from very humble beginnings and dreamed of having more out of life. As a young teenager, he made the journey to the United States to pursue the American dream. He got a great opportunity at Rycoff Sexton (US Foods) and joined the Teamster Local 848, where he would go on to dedicate 39 years of hard work. Soon after arriving in the US, he married Maria and together they had 4 children. He had many passions in life, a main one being music. Jose had several musical groups throughout the years where he was always the vocalist. He had an amazing voice. He also served in his church as much as he could. He always thanked God for all the blessings he had in life. Sadly, in December 2021 he was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer and passed away on March 24th, 2022. He is survived by his wife, Maria Torres, his 4 children, Carla, Cristabell, Jesus, Joe and his grandchildren.
Jose A. Torres nació el 24 de febrero del 1963 en Zacatecas, Mexico y fue el hijo menor de Hermelinda Pérez y Jesús Torres. Jose vino de comienzos humildes y soñaba de tener más de la vida. Como un adolescente joven, el hizo en viaje a los Estados Unidos para perseguir el sueño americano. O tuvo una gran oportunidad con Rycoff Sexton (US Foods) y se unió con los Teamster Local 848 donde dedicó 39 años de arduo trabajo. No mucho después, se casó con su esposa, María, y tuvieron 4 hijos. El tuvo muchas pasiones en su vida y una fue las música. Jose tuvo various grupos musicales donde el siempre era el vocalista. El tenia una voz hermosa. También trató de servir en su iglesia lo más que pudo. Siempre le daba gracias a Dios por todas las bendiciones que recibía en su vida. Tristemente, en diciembre del 2021 Jose fue diagnosticado con cáncer del páncreas en la cuarta etapa y falleció el 24 de marzo del 2022. El es sobrevivido por su esposa, María Torres, y sus hijos, Carla, Cristabell, Jesus, Joe y por sus nietos.
