He served honorably in the Army Air Corps during World War II. After leaving the service he worked as an accountant in the oil industry until his retirement. He was very passionate about Catholic School education and was an active member of the St. Thomas More community.
Al was born February 13, 1925 in the Ninth Ward of New Orleans, Louisiana. After the War, he remained in New Orleans until 1955 when he was transferred to Houston. He lived at his home in Houston for 47 years. As his surviving children Ann, Daniel, Albert Jr., James, and Noel began their own families and 21 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren were welcomed, that home became the place of Friday night dinners, summer pool parties, family Christmases, and countless other celebrations.
Al placed his faith and family above all else and died peacefully surrounded by those who loved him.
In lieu of the usual remembrances the family has requested either mass intentions or donations sent to the St. Thomas More Scholarship Fund.
