

Antonio Ovalle, 95, of Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2026. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and proud U.S. Navy veteran, Antonio lived a full and remarkable life defined by service, dedication, and love for his family.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Julia Ovalle, and his son, Robert Ovalle. He is survived by his children Leticia Cook; Patricia Ovalle Wood and husband Roger; and Richard Ovalle. Eight grandchildren – Christina Cook; Michael Cook; Marissa Cook; Julianne Stenecker and husband Joseph; Kristen Ovalle; Robert Ovalle Jr. and wife Annie; Jason Ovalle; and Whitney Ovalle. Five great-grandchildren – Desidero Ovalle, Jax Stenecker, Joel Stenecker, Robert Ovalle III, and Michael Antonio Ovalle.
Antonio was born and raised in Laredo, Texas. After completing his military service, he earned a degree in Accounting from Texas A&I University. It was there that he met his beloved wife, Julia.
Antonio spent his career with the IRS, handling high-profile cases and served as President of the National Treasury Employees Union. Following early retirement, he remained active in his professional life, working for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the Federated States of Micronesia, and the Commonwealth of the Mariana Islands. While abroad, Antonio and Julia traveled extensively.
Antonio was a faithful man who cherished family life. He coached youth sports, served as Westbury Little League President and Assistant Scoutmaster for Troop 99, and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Visitation will be held Thursday, February 19, 2026, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Earthman Funeral Home in Bellaire, TX. A Mass will held on Friday, February 20, 2026, 10:30 A.M. at St. Thomas More Catholic Church (10330 Hillcroft St.), with the Rite of Committal to follow at 2:00 P.M. at Forest Park Cemetery (12800 Westheimer Rd.).
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
