Belle Mickler

Clara Belle Mickler, born to Clara Belle Barton and William Bluford Hawkins in Jones County, Texas on April 18, 1925 departed this life on August 20, 2010. She is survived by daughter, Evelyn Stevens Aiello and husband Roger, son, John Forrest Stevens and wife Kathy, and daughter, June Stevens Mahoney and husband Larry; four grandchildren, Lisa Marie Vogel and husband Christopher, Tyler Stevens Oar and wife Lalaine, David Jared Stevens and John Dallas Stevens; four great-grandchildren, Lauren Elyse Syzdek, Riley Nicole Syzdek, Caroline Elizabeth Vogel, Jackson Wyatt Vogel; two sisters, Oleta McGrath of San Antonio and Faye Hawkins of Georgetown and many extended family members.

Belle often expressed, both orally and in verse, how good life has been and that she was ready when her time came. With much love, especially for her loving family, she has gone on her way. Miss her a little while, let her go now.

A memorial service honoring Belle’s life will be held at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, August 25, 2010, at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home, 6700 Ferris St.
