

Craig William Ruggles was born on December 2, 1983 in Houston, Texas. He is named for both of his grandfathers. He is the fourth child of Brent and Cheryl Ruggles. He spent his childhood in Richmond, Texas.
He attended high school in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania, where he participated on soccer, wrestling, and volleyball teams. He was an active Boy Scout and earned the Eagle Award and a Bronze Palm in 2001. He graduated from high school in 2002 and attended college at Brigham Young University Idaho for one year. He then served an LDS mission in Taiwan for two years. During this time, he learned Mandarin Chinese. He was one of only a few missionaries in Taiwan toearn the Interpreter Award. After completing his mission, he returned to Texas to work and attend college. In December 2006, he married Jessica Sacca, of New Jersey, in the Washington D.C. LDS Temple.
He obtained his Real Estate license and also worked in construction for several years. Craig earned his bachelors degree in Mandarin Chinese Studies with a minor in Business from the University of Houston in 2011. Most recently, Craig worked as a Medical Device Sales Representative with Bioventus. Craig enjoyed working with youth. He was a Scoutmaster and a Young Men’s Program Leader with the LDS church. Craig was also a gun enthusiast and hunter. He played Australian Rules Football on the Houston Lonestars team for four years. Craig assisted his team in winning the 2013 Division Three National Championship. Craig died on November 3, 2013, just one month before his 30th birthday. Craig lived a full life. He will be remembered as athletic, adventurous, kind, and fun-loving. He touched many lives through his acts of service and cheerful personality.
Craig is survived by his wife, Jessica. He is also survived by his parents, Brent and Cheryl Ruggles, and his siblings, Andy, Chanda, Brian, Tracy, Timmy, Adam, and Cherish. Craig will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
