Farewell. I have joyfully joined my precious mother, "eg." I have been blessed to have a few loving family members—Brother Michael, Aunt Claire and Uncle Allan; some have adopted me like my Walter; some dear treasured friends; an extraordinary maestro, Dr. Carroll C. Arnold; some of the finest professionals for whom I have had the privilege of advising as their Personal Jury Consultant; some special individuals I have helped as their Counselor; and a few fine husbands.
I have lived a wonderful life, my own way, often swimming upstream. Truly, I was blessed to have a glorious mother, "eg," who dedicated her life to being a great mother: she succeeded. She was a superior intelligent and ethical role model giving endless unconditional love, opening the world of theatre, culture, the arts, and an appreciation of life and all of God's children: so rare. My success in every way and the quality of my life is due to her unconditional love, guidance and support.
Forever I am indebted to all those who cared for "eg" when she was struggling with Alzheimer's, especially dedicated were Dr. John P. Ott and Martha Torres. Each day I did my best to show my gratitude to all who cared for her.
Living each day as if it was my last; always expressing my love to those who were special in my life; and thanking God for my blessings I reflected upon Emily's words in Our Town by Thornton Wilder: "Does anyone ever realize life while they live it...every, every minute?" I did and encouraged others to appreciate the gift of life and their loved ones "every minute." The unconditional love I received from "eg" was a gift from God for which I was thankful my entire life.
