

Edward Hanlen of Houston/Bellaire, Texas passed away peacefully on Friday, February 21, 2025. To all his friends and family, he was Eddy, Eddy Spaghetti, Eddroneous P. Hambone and countless other nicknames.
Eddy attended Bellaire High School and was a well-known Houston transmission specialist for many years until retirement. More than that, he was a devoted loving husband, the crazy uncle, the fun Pawpaw, the selfless little brother and the dedicated stepfather.
Eddy had a great love for the outdoors. An avid fisherman…motorcyclist…sailor. The ocean and the open road were his steadfast friends. He was also an active member of the Braeburn Valley West HOA and Security Team as well as a local Motorcycle Club. He has left a lasting and indelible mark on his family and everyone he has ever met and became friends with. He will be greatly missed every day by family, friends and his community.
Eddy was preceded in death by his loving parents, Paul and Anne Hanlen, Sister Kathy Grimes.
He is survived by wife, Mary Ann Hanlen, stepchildren Denise Pressler (Lewis), Armando Eric Reyes (Sharla), brother Mike Hanlen (Diane), brother Tom Hanlen (Kay, deceased), grandchild Kaitlyn Pressler and countless nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Roy Campbell Burroughs Park Pavillion, 9738 Hufsmith Rd., Tomball, Tx 77375 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Bring your favorite memories of Eddys wonderful life to share.
