She was born in Kosse, Texas, on June 9, 1916, to Carrie and Will Clark and was the granddaughter of the well-know Dr. Cling Clark. She was preceded in death by the love of her life for 64 years of marriage, Marvin Jacob, infant son, Marvin, Jr., and daughter-in-law, Brenda Marsh Jacob, whom she adored.
Eva is survived by her wonderful children: Clark Jacob and his wife, Mary, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and Linda Jacob Evans and her husband, The Rev. Dr. David M. Evans, of Austin; and her grandchildren: Matt and Maya Evans, Whitney and Mike Musitano, and Chad Jacob – all of Austin; and her great grandchildren: Hadden, Jorren, and Brynn Evans and Olivia Musitano. She also leaves behind a special niece and nephew she always considered her own: Vanita and Steve Homer of Missouri City.
Eva received her schooling in Ponca City, Oklahoma. She later moved to Houston, where she met Marvin who she dated for over two years before they were married on October 16, 1938. Anderson Hospital, was a two term President of the Woodside Garden Club, Chair of the Alpha Chi Omega Mothers’ Club, and belonged to the En Amie Book Review Club. Eva and Marvin loved to play bridge and dance, and they participated in three dance clubs. They also traveled throughout the world, often taking their children and grandchildren. Eva was blessed with many friends and especially enjoyed entertaining with dinner parties, brunches, and open houses. She was truly renowned for the gift of hospitality she extended to all. She absolutely loved life!
