Jacquelyn A. "Jackie" Rhodes

JACQUELYN A. "JACKIE" RHODES, 82, passed into Heaven on Monday, September 27, 2010. She was born July 23, 1928 in Houston, to the late Damer and Richard Cade. Jackie graduated from San Jacinto High School. She excelled in 2 careers, in Loans and Stock Transfer at Texas Commerce Bank 20 years, and in administration for St. Benedict The Abbot, and St. Augustine parishes in the Galveston Houston Archdiocese 25 years until her retirement.

Jackie was preceded in death by her first and second husbands, Leon Klecka and Tom Rhodes. She is survived by sons, David Klecka and wife Leanne, Richard Klecka and wife Edie; sister, Patty Luttrell; nieces, Debbie Dewolf and Darlene Perdue, grand nephews Andy Schaafs, Guy Schaafs, and Grant Perdue, other relatives, and extended family.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m., Friday, October 1, 2010, at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home, 6700 Ferris St. The Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, October 2, 2010, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 9900 Stella Link Rd., with the Rev. John N. Morfin, Celebrant. Rite of Committal will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery. Following internment, a reception to celebrate her life will be held at 5:00 p.m in the Corpus Christi Church Family Activity Center. All are invited to share dinner, memories, stories, and love.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to M. D. Anderson Cancer Center, or the American Cancer Society.
