James Morris Lassiter Jr.

Mr. Lassiter, affectionately known as "T.J." attended Virginia Military Institute and Old Dominion University, receiving a degree in finance. He was owner of Lassiter Interest, a Houston based real estate investment venture partnership and a licensed commercial real estate broker in the state of Texas since 1968. Mr. Lassiter was a Shriner, member of the Masonic Lodge and International Committee Member of the Houston Livestock and Rodeo where he was a volunteer for 42 years.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Lassiter of Richmond, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Dennis Smith of Baytown, TX; son and daughter-in-law, James and Nicole Lassiter of Bellaire, TX; stepdaughters, Kelley and Shelley Mclinden of Richmond, TX; grandchildren, Patricia Gonter, Samantha Gonter Bailey, Hailey Lassiter, Grayson Lassiter and Ashton Lassiter; sister, Barbara Lassiter Gornto of Virginia Beach, VA; nephew, Brooks Gornto of Virginia Beach, VA; niece, Suzanne Gornto Parr of Richmond, VA; niece, Lynanne Gornto of Virginia Beach, VA; great grandchildren, Devon Gonter, Jaylen Haynes and Cynthia Gonter.
