I knew Joan when I worked at Goodies Bakery in Denver while going to East High.  She was a lovely person, as were her parents.  Condolences to the family.

FOR THE TRUEST AND MOST CONSIDERATE FRIEND ANYONE COULD HAVE!!  WE ARE FRIENDS FOR ETERNITY....

I met Joanie when I was 11 and she was 13.  We both belonged to Rainbow Girls together. She was my idol.  I Tried to grow my hair so I could have a ponytail that hung in a long ringlet curl to my waist.  I didn't quite make it.  I can still see her ponytail and hear her laugh.  
     We have been exchanging cards for many years.  I sometimes thought it was a competition to see who could find the funniest card.
    Our parents were also friends. 
    I still have the Christmas tablecloth they sent when I got married in Nov. 1969.
    I will miss those funny cards. 
    Blessings to you Lloyd for taking the time to let me know of Joan's passing.  And blessings to you Logan you had a wonderful Mom!
She will be missed very much by all who knew her.

I pray that Joan's family and friends will receive the peace and comfort from the Lord.  I worked with Joan briefly. I'm sure that she will be missed.

It would be impossible for me to share almost 50 years of memories of Joan without writing a novel. In our younger years we navigated new marriages, then babies, middle age and glasses, and finally advancing years and aching joints. I learned a lot from her. She, born a Yankee, taught me, a native Texas, how to make enchiladas. They are better than any in a restaurant. I learned about German and Danish pastries, cakes, matzo balls, and wonderful soups. I dined regularly on the "nasty bits" from her fridge she sent home with me. Her knowledge of English history was astounding. In her I had a fun and loyal friend who never judged, never questioned. She was always just there. What more can you ask for in a friend. I am going to miss her. My love and sympathy are with the family.

I met Joan through Marsha and Howard (our martini club) and enjoyed knowing her even though it was not near long enough.  We did have a lot of laughs, and she will be missed greatly. Her family has my deepest condolences.

My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.  Joan was so much fun to be around everytime there was a get together.  I will always remember Massa's and our Mardi Gras Party downtown pub crawl.  She will be missed by many friends.

Dear Lloyd:  Cousin Tom Wrenholt called me about Cousin Joan.  I'm so sorry to hear the news.  I passed through Houston recently on a trip to New Orleans and thought of you all.  I'm sorry we didn't have a chance to get together.  I have many happy memories of Cousin Joan (Joanie) from when we were all younger in the 50s and 60s.  I remember her bright smile, intelligence, and laughter.  I also remember being fascinated as a youngster at the grace with which she ate a tossed salad!  If I linger over every piece of lettuce, and swirl the salad ingredients around in the dressing with my salad fork before popping them in my mouth, it is all because of my desire to be just like Cousin Joan.  She was also the keeper of the family archives, so let me know if you need someone to assume that role.  Warm wishes to you and your son, Beverly

Joan was such a fun co-worker we stayed in touch for our birthdays, Christmas and other occasions. We had so many laughs together over the years. When we spend more hours at work than we do at home we begin to feel like family. We love to bargain hunt the estate sales in Bellaire on our lunch hours.  I will miss your funny wit dear Joan

I have so many fond memories of times spent with Joan Adams.  She was a colleague and became a dear trusted friend.  We shared so much laughter at work and play.  Joan and I shared a kindred sense of humor and it was never far from the curb to the gutter when the two of us were together.

Joan was a jewel of a person and I will miss her presence dearly yet she will never be far from my memories.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family of such a wonderful, kind hearted, loving and gracious lady.
