Jodi Lynn More'

Ms. Jodi Lynn (Wellman) Moré, formerly of La Porte City, Iowa, whose vibrant presence touched the lives of many, peacefully passed away on January 16, 2024, in Houston, Texas, at the age of 59. She was born on September 3, 1964, in Waterloo, Iowa, to the late Curtis and Leona Wellman. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Arthur and Elsie Wellman, and Clarence and Emma Steffens.

Jodi attended La Porte City High School, where she graduated with the class of 1983. Following her graduation, she pursued her passion for caregiving and obtained her CNA degree. She dedicated herself to providing compassionate care at the La Porte City Nursing Home before embarking on a new chapter in Houston, Texas, where she found success in the Oil & Gas Industry.

Jodi's journey of love and companionship included her marriage to Ed Moré, with whom she shared precious memories before their paths diverged. She leaves behind her beloved son, Julian Moré, and his fiancée, Laila Khorrami of San Marcos, TX, as well as her brother Greg (Becky) Wellman of La Porte City, and sisters Lanell (Jeff Armstrong) Maser of Punta Gorda, Florida, and Kim (Danny) Reiter of La Porte City.

Jodi enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She would light up any room that she entered. She was a wonderful mother, sister, and friend. Jodi's warmth and kindness endeared her to all who crossed her path. She will be greatly missed.

A celebration of Jodi's life will be held on Saturday, February 24th, from 4-7 pm at the La Porte City Golf Club in La Porte City, IA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family, honoring Jodi's legacy of love, laughter, and kindness that will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.
