John Combi

Beloved husband of the late Claire Combi. Loving father Christine (Rudy) Noble. Cherished grandfather of Elizabeth (Robert) Huddle and Patrick (Sarah) Noble and great grandfather of Marcus and Samuel Huddle and Claire Noble. Dear brother of Virginia Slama.

John's career in seismic exploration for the oil industry brought him to Texas where he decided to put down roots and raise his family in Houston. He worked for the health department in various roles including radiation inspections and retired as personnel director.

His passion was remodeling houses and real estate, remodeling several homes including his own dutch colonial home built in 1919. John was a known artist in Houston and active in various charitable and arts organizations.

After his daughter's relocation to Cincinnati in 2014, John followed in her footsteps in 2019. He was a devout parishioner of St. Veronica Catholic Church. John spent the last year of his life at Arden Courts - Anderson, and we are forever grateful for the loving care he received there.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, May 28 from 5-7 PM at Spring Grove Funeral Homes Elden Good (2620 Erie Ave.). Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 10 AM at St. Veronica Catholic Church (4473 Mt. Carmel Tobasco Rd.)

Interment will take place next to his late wife in Glenwood Cemetery in Houston, Texas.

Memorial contributions in his honor may be made to Lewy Body Dementia Association.
