Levy Funeral Directors

In loving memory of Texas resident Kenneth Croft, 83, who passed away at his home in Houston, Texas on January 11, 2021.

Kenneth was born on November 29, 1937, in Houston, Texas, to Mollie and Jack Croft. Although he lost his mother at an early age, he loved her dearly and spoke of her memory throughout his life. She was always an inspiration.

Kenneth attended The University of Houston, where he studied accounting. He worked for over thirty years at Texberry Container Corporation, where he ultimately became a Vice President.

He was an active member of Beth Yeshurun for over 64 years and belonged to the Lion's Club, where he volunteered for many charity events.

His greatest pride was the time he shared with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He never missed a special event in his children's or grandchildren's lives. Over the years, Kenneth proudly participated as a Cub Scout Troop leader, a coach for both his son's and daughter's baseball/softball teams and an advisor for B'nai B'rith Youth Organization.

He was an avid sports fan and loved to watch any Houston team. One of our family's fondest memory is the weekly discussion to decide who would get the second Houston oiler season ticket and attend the football game with him on the 35-year line at the Dome Stadium for many years.

Kenneth is survived by his wife of 63 years, Charlotte Ann; his sisters Evelyn Laviage and Barbara (Art) Squires; sister-in-law Marlene (Eldred) Sinkoe; his three children, Rodney (Shari) Croft, Marla (Craig) Berkowitz, and Fara (Marc) Koren; his grandchildren, Scott (Natasha) Berkowitz, Ryan (Katy) Berkowitz, Caryn Berkowitz, Stephanie Koren, Cameron Croft, and Kaylee Croft; his great grandchildren, Ariel, Jackie, and Nataleigh Berkowitz; and his close friends, Sam and Roxanne Gold. Kenneth was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Charlie Laviage.

A private funeral was held at Beth Yeshurun Post Oak Cemetery. The service can be accessed at: https://venue.streamspot.com/f8d04b5b
