Kenneth N. Knox, 90, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2025. He was born the youngest of six children to EK and Beatrice Knox in 1934. Ken graduated from Harleton High School in 1953 and subsequently went on to graduate from University of Tulsa in 1957. In 1958, Ken was drafted into the US Army and served two years of active duty.
After his tour of duty, he felt a call to help others who were facing the justice system. With a passion for justice and the intellectual challenges of the law and its potential for a significant impact on society, Ken enrolled in South Texas College of Law and graduated in 1964. He went on to practice law for over fifty years. Despite his proper southern gentlemanly demeanor, he was a barracuda in the courtroom when it came to advocating for his clients.
A man of deep character, Ken was known for his love of his family. He delighted in the accomplishments of his daughter and grandchildren. He had an unwavering devotion to his beloved wife, Pam, a passion for the law and a deep, abiding affection for his dogs, Toby, Jessie, Gypsy, Ginger, Sophie, Luke and Charlie. He loved playing golf with his buddies but much to his chagrin, he was never able to master the game.
Surviving family include his wife, Pam, daughter Lisa Suchart (Eddie), granddaughter Ashley Suchart and grandson Tyler Suchart, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Ken was one of the lucky ones. He traveled all over the world, regularly learning about new cultures and exploring different countries. He led an interesting, productive, exciting life surrounded by love. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
A funeral service for Kenneth will be held Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at noon, at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home, 4525 Bissonnet St. in Bellaire, Texas 77401, reception following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests contributions in Ken’s memory to the Houston Area Parkinson Society, 2700 Southwest Freeway, Suite 300, Houston, 77098 or a charity of your choice.
