

She entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Incarnate Word and Blessed Sacrament, Houston, Texas, in 1931 and made her final Profession of Vows in 1939.
Sr. Martha faithfully ministered to her Sisters in the Community Supportive Service for many years through her cooking, laundry and sewing. She also served as receptionist at our downtown Convent for many years. When she retired she continued to help inas much as her failing health allowed. She was very faithful to daily Mass, continued to enjoy visits from family members over the years and enjoyed celebrations, especially when she reached 100 years of age. She was very proud of her Czech heritage.
Sister was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Sophie Sebesta and her brothers and sister. She is survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be on Monday, March 4, 2013 from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. at Incarnate Word Convent, 3400 Bradford Place, Houston, Texas. The wake service will begin at 6:30 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the convent chapel. Rev. Jim Murphy, C.S.B. will be the celebrant. Rite of Committal will follow in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
