Michael William Shaw Moore II

MICHAEL WILLIAM SHAW MOORE II, devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend died unexpectedly on Friday, April 23, 2010. Michael was born May 9, 1953 in Houston, TX. Michael is survived by his wife Pamela, sons Andrew and Michael III and his wife Sarah, mother Patricia Moore Reed and her husband George Reed, sister Jennifer and husband Frank Sassin, as well as his niece Ronda Dericek and nephews Nick and Gabe Sassin, extended family, and friends who will miss him dearly. Michael was very active in both his boys' lives, including baseball, swimming, and scouts. He founded and owned his own construction business, Acoustical Concepts, Inc. and previously served as president of the Association of Builders & Contractors. He had a love for the church and served in various stewardship programs at St. Thomas More and in the Beginning Experience program. The visitation will take place on Monday, April 26 from 5 to 7pm at Levy Funeral Home, 4525 Bissonnet, followed by a rosary at 7pm. The funeral mass will be held at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 6921 Chetwood on Tuesday, April 27 at 10 am. Burial will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster, TX. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the UT Medical School at Houston.
