Miguel was born in Montevideo, Uruguay to Nachman and Feiga Ferber on November 2, 1935. He was married to Harriet Ferber for 45 years, meeting her in her hometown of London, England, living together in Leicester England, then in Uruguay briefly and finally settling in Houston, TX for the last 38 years.
Miguel worked as an International businessman across many trades, speaking 6 languages and traveling across the globe exceling in everything that he touched with his larger than life personality. He was a religious man who felt a deep spiritual connection to Hashem.
Miguel is survived by his loving wife, Harriet Ferber; his three children Daniel Ferber, Jaclyn Ferber and Nadine Abramcyk and their spouses, Amy Ferber, Tom Kirk and Matthew Abramcyk. He is survived by his 2 sisters, Raquel Jinchuk and Sara Wasserstein. He is survived by his 8 grandchildren, Anna Ferber, Sam Ferber, Eli Ferber, Sadie Ferber, Phoenix Kirk, Zoe Lee Abramcyk, Solomon Abramcyk and Lou Abramcyk. His 9 nieces and nephews, Estella Jinchuk, Enrique Jinchuk, Laura Kopel, David Ferber, Esther Ferber, Monica Barto, Irene Wasserstein and Jorge Wasserstein.
He is preceded in death by his parents Nachman and Feiga Ferber and his younger brother Walter Ferber.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Dr. Allan W Silberman and Dr Charles Forscher of Cedar Sinai Hospital, his doctors who cared for him so deeply these past years. Memorial donations in his honor may be made to Surgical Oncology Education and Research Fund at Cedar Sinai Medical Center under the direction of Dr. Allan Silberman.
