

Monte Lee Kendrick, age 84, passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2013 in Sugar Land, TX. He was born June 24, 1929 to the late Raymon Lee Kendrick and Opie Elizabeth Cast Kendrick in Panhandle, TX. Monte was a graduate of Boswell High School in Oklahoma, Murray State College in Tishamingo, OK, and Oklahoma University. He obtained a Masters in Mechanical Engineering. His engineering career included such companies as Shell Oil Company, Celanese, and Kvaerner. He was an avid fiddle player and a deacon for many years in his church. Monte was preceded in death by his brother, Joel Kendrick and his sister, Cheryl Hobaugh. He is survived by his wife Paula Rush Kendrick; his brother, Larry Wayne Kendrick; his children, Randy Lee Kendrick and wife Debra, Connie Lynn Kendrick, Karen Kendrick Thomas and husband Lynn, and Monte Leigh Kendrick and his wife Mindy; grandchildren, Dennis, Tracy, Chris, Lori, Daniel, Lyndi, Kevin, Spencer, and Connor; great-grandchildren, Alexander, Nicole, Alexa, Xander, Gabrielle, Charles, Harrison, and Kellan.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home, 6700 Ferris, Bellaire, TX 77401. Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm, Monday, November 4, 2013, with a viewing beginning at 1:00 pm, at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 8701 Northwest Expressway, Oklahoma City, OK 73162. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Oklahoma City, OK.
