What a shock to find out of Phil's death - it was the last thing I expected to learn when i googled his name.  I was hoping to hook him up with a gunner I know from the days of Vietnam since Phil was a gunner too.

I go way back with Phil - to the days of the bushy hair at Amfac Mortgage.  I remember several of the Amfac managers, Al Sims, Robert Clayton, William Cozine, wild man Fred from California to name a few.  Our bosses, Paul Beavers, Howard Dade and Joe Valdez.  He was a star and he had a heart of gold.  He will be sorely missed - my deepest sympathy to Ronda and his family on their loss.  He was larger than life!  Colleen McGrath, Texas

Richard and I had great love and respect for this man. Whether it was work or play, you could always count on Phil. I am so happy that we had the opportunity to visit and stay with Phil and Rhonda in Houston. That was a great time. We had made plans to come and visit at the ranch in July but it was soon enough. Just want you to know how much we loved just being around him. If there is anything we can do for you Rhona, call on us.

Michael and I are so sorry about the loss of such a wonderful man.  Michael really enjoyed working with Phil at "Bank U" and all of the crazy 1 day rides to Austin for the MS 150.  I couldn't believe how athletic and crazy he was ... every year before the rides with Michael, Sonny, and the boys...
