Born to parents he adored, blessed with a brother and sister he loved and married for most of his adult life
Richard rejoined his family this month to take a much deserved rest.
He survived both the depression and World War 2 and managed to help raise his three children, four grand-
children and four great grandchildren who in time looked pretty much to a man who cared for them one and
all.
It is most likely he lived as long as he did because he wanted so much to see them succeed and visit and let
him tell them stories about his youth and his father's cooking and his mother's candy and about how pretty he
remembered the girls were. He enjoyed the mere pleasure of seeing them happy.
He is missed, he is loved and he is forever in everyone who knew him.
This is a thank you to him for getting old and a thank you to his friends and family for getting old too.
When you find yourself in traffic or in line and think "This is getting old" think of him and think getting old is a
good thing, especially if you get there when you are old.
Thank you.
