He was born on September 5, 1956 in Laredo, TX to Antonio and Julie Ovalle. He served in the US Navy in sonar electronics leading him to a career in electronic and computer engineering.
He enjoyed the outdoors and loved hunting and fishing. He was an avid reader of technical/electronic subjects and enjoyed driving his Mustang.
Robert is survived by his father Antonio Ovalle and is predeceased by his mother Julie Ovalle and his wife Jan G. Ovalle. He also leaves his children, daughters Kristin and Whitney Ovalle, sons Robert Jr. and Jason Ovalle and grandson Desi Ovalle. Sisters Gloria Cook and Patricia Ovalle Wood (Roger Wood) brother Richard Ovalle and nieces Christina and Marissa Cook, Julianne Ovalle Stenecker, nephew Michael Cook and great nephew Jax Stenecker.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 4, 2021 from 5 pm to 8 pm, with Rosary at 7 pm at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home in Bellaire, TX. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am, Friday, February 5, 2021 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church,10330 Hillcroft St. Rite of Committal will follow at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery.
