Shannon Michael Morrison

Shannon Michael Morrison, age 56, of Houston, passed away unexpectedly on January 1, 2023. A memorial service for Shannon will be held on Saturday, January 14th at 10:00 am in the chapel of Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Robert Besser officiating.

Shannon was born on July 6, 1966 to Hackley Morrison, III and Barbara Jean Nesbett Morrison. He was preceded in death by his mother. He is survived by his father, his three brothers Steven Morrison and his wife Karen Jones Morrison of Dallas, Blake Morrison of Galveston, and Shawn Morrison of Houston, his aunt Nancy Morrison Koehn of Rosenberg, uncle Seaborn Mosely Nesbett, Jr. and aunt Connie Nesbett, Jr. of Tyler, numerous cousins, and former wife Kimberli.

Shannon attended Westbury High School in Houston. He began his college career in Austin where he was initiated into the Texas chapter of the Delta Upsilon fraternity. He graduated from the University of Houston-Clear Lake with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, and worked for many years in the insurance field. He maintained a home in Southwest Houston.

Shannon was a loyal, kind and loving son, brother and friend. He was a member of the Vineyard Church in Stafford, Texas, and volunteered with the youth ministry the Children's Activity Truck in Southwest Houston. His many interests included saltwater fishing, volunteerism, reading books, and the fine arts. He had a soft spot for animals and kept many pets during his life. He was known for his keen intellect and friendly nature. His family and friends meant everything to him, and he will be greatly missed.
