I was blessed to know and work with Suzy for many years at the Cancer Center. No financial problem was too big or difficult for Suzy!  She was always warm, compassionate and helpful at any time I called her. From reading other people’s posts, clearly she was that way with everyone.

Just heard the news today and I’m heartbroken. Suzy you were one of a kind. I remember meeting you when I started working at TCH cancer & Hematology Clinic. You exuded warmth. And you were an unsung hero ensuring the children could get the care they deserved. Rest in peace.

Suzy was, without doubt, one of the kindest and most compassionate people that I have had the great fortune to work with. She worked with each family, each provider, each resource to find ways to make sure patients received the care they needed. She was truly one of a kind, and we will miss her so very much. I hope her family takes comfort in knowing what a light she was in the world not only to them but to all of us who crossed paths with her. May she rest in peace.

I was off work for a week and when I came back to hear this sad news??!  I couldn't get her off my mind!!  I was thinking of all the memories that I had encounter with her.  When I first started working to the clinic and met her with the TCH Cancer center welcome desk ladies, every day we had conversations.  When I had a questions regarding insurance she was always very kind to help me out.  When she made the most beautiful greeting cards, I seen how she was so creative and artistic.  She was a very loving, caring and knowledgeable person.  I will miss her soooo much!  My deepest sympathy and condolence goes to the family.

Suzy, you will be dearly missed my friend! I want your family to know what a treasure we had in you! I will always remember your years of dedication and hard work on behalf of all children and families at TCH, ensuring they each had the opportunity to receive medical treatment at such a critical time.  I will always cherish your passion for and creativity in making butterfly cutouts for the annual  Remembrance Breakfast 🦋 and for the beautifully hand-crafted birthday cards over the years! Suzy was truly one of the most caring, compassionate, knowledgeable and talented individuals that I’ve ever had the opportunity to work with at TCH. She made an indelible impact on so many staff members and patient families for many years and She will be truly be missed! Suzy Q is what I call her. She was such a warm and gentle spirted person who would help everyone at the drop of a hat. She enjoyed her position, and she was excellent at her job. She taught me so very much the years I worked with her. She will be missed so very much.

I can see Suzy walk into the clinic with her sunglasses in the morning and tell her Good morning, Suzy!! It was a look I never forget, a side smirk. I think we had the same idea. Working with Suzy at Texas Children's over the last several years, I always so admired and respected her unwavering level of dedication and compassion for our patients, never failing to go the extra mile for every single one, until some sort of solution could be reached, to get them the care they needed. 100% irreplaceable, and the kindest, most generous human. She will be extremely missed.

Hello, this is Kimberley Erving Suzy's manager at Texas Children's.  I had the honor of working with Suzy the past 6 years.  Suzy was more than a co-worker but also a dear friend.  And, I will truly miss her.  Suzy deeply cared for her patients and families and would always go the extra mile to support them anyway she could.   Suzy was a truly kind-hearted and loyal employee and I will miss her dearly.  I send my heart-felt condolences to her entire family.

Suzy helped so many children at Texas Children's Cancer Center. She enabled many children to come here for new treatments and provided tremendous support to families. We will miss her!

I was lucky to have met, Suzy, such wonderful person.  She was kind and sweet to every family she had contact with.  I witness her compassion throughout the years we work together. As a long time member of Texas Children's Cancer Center I have known, loved and highly respected Suzy for all these years. She was always nothing short of a miracle maker solving so many financial crises for so many families over the years.  She will never be replaced either in our Cancer Center or in our hearts.
