

Theresa (Terri) Elizabeth Swift Maler, was born on April 11, 1964 to Carol Ann Swift and John Craig Swift Sr. in Houston Texas. Terri passed to the Lord on January 23, 2012 leaving behind a strong memory of undeniable strength and courage to all who knew and loved her. Terri was a remarkable woman with a passion for family. Her exuberant zest for life made all who knew her, see more of the beauty life had to offer. She was never without a smile and kind words for any stranger and although there were obstacles in her life, she had a selfless determination to be everything she could.
She grew up in Alief Texas, where she graduated from Elsik H.S. in 1982. She was an active member of both the Elsik alumni committee, and the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
Terri retired after 25 years in the banking industry to fulfill her life long dream of becoming a stay at home mother. On August 18, 1990, she married the love of her life, Jud R.(Bo)Maler, and later adopted her 2 children, therefore completing her family.
She is survived by her husband Bo Maler, her two children Justin, and Emma, her mother Carol Swift, father John Craig Swift Sr. and step-mother Janie Swift, her sister and her husband, John and Sherri Rash, their 2 daughters Julia and Brianna, her brother and his wife John and Patricia Swift and their 3 children Erica, Alicia and Cameron and her step-brother Trent Coon as well as numerous other loving relatives and a host of friends.
Friends are invited to visitation with the family from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, January 26, 2012 at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home, 6700 Ferris. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m, Friday, January 27, 2012 at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 115 7th St., Sugar Land, TX 77478. Rite of Committal will follow at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery.
