Trudy A. Steuber, age 65, departed this life early on the morning of June 2 after an incredibly courageous struggle against an overwhelming disease. Trudy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who was devoted to and fiercely protective of her family and friends. Her greatest concerns were not for herself but for those she left behind. To forever honor and cherish her memory are her husband Phil, her son Andy and spouse Abby and her daughter Jennifer and spouse Billy Golden. She adored her grandchildren and will be remembered as “Grammy” by Jacob and Allyson Steuber and Nevaeh Golden. Her lifelong closest friends Lois and David Miller were constantly there for her during her final weeks and were a source of great support and comfort to Trudy and her family. Phil and the family wish to acknowledge and thank the many friends, relatives and colleagues (especially David, Don and ZoAnn) who offered support and counsel during this difficult time.
A Funeral Service honoring Trudy’s life will be held at 12:00 noon, with a viewing beginning at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home, 6700 Ferris St., followed by a 2:00 p.m. graveside service at Houston National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Trudy requested that contributions be made in her memory to her beloved Camp Periwinkle.
