Benson "Benny" Trace Fournier

Benson “Benny” Trace Fournier, 3 years old, of Belleville, IL, formerly of Augusta, GA, passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at his residence, in the arms of his loving parents. He was born on June 14, 2021 to Tyler and Lauryn (Gross) Fournier.

They survive and reside in Belleville, IL. Also surviving to cherish his memory is his little sister, Briar Lee Fournier; maternal grandmother, April Gross of Louisville, KY; great-aunt, Tracy Miller of Charlotte, NC; paternal grandparents, Jay and Stephanie Fournier of Augusta, GA; and aunts and uncles, Austin Cropper of Louisville, KY, Trevor Fournier of Aiken, SC and Amelia Fournier of Augusta, GA.

Although Benny’s life was much too short, he lived courageously and brought countless wonderful memories that his family will cherish forever. He was an eclectic soul who loved Elton John, especially his favorite song, “Bennie and the Jets”. His favorite movies were Cars and Lilo & Stitch; he could watch them on repeat time after time.

Being in his stroller while taking walks with his Mommy and Daddy were his favorite adventure. Feeling the sunshine on his skin, a gentle breeze and hearing birds chirp undoubtedly made him the happiest little man.

Above all else, Benny was a snuggler. He always wanted to be held, cuddled or holding hands with the people he loved most. These are moments his family will cherish and never, ever forget. His memory will live on forever in their hearts.

The family has entrusted Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home in Belleville, IL with cremation rites.

Memorials in Benny’s name can be donated to St. Louis Children’s Research Hospital.
