Mrs. White was very active in the Fairview Heights Woman’s Club and the Illinois Federation of Women’s Club where she was affectionately known as “Mom”.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Max White, who died on Nov. 20, 2008; her parents, Milford and Helen, nee Herbst, Pitt; a daughter, Velma “Vel” Jean Lurtz; 4 sisters, Vivian Payne, Beverly Smock, Carolyn Rutz, and Joyce Pitt; 3 brothers, Duane Pitt, Vernon Pitt, and Clyde Pitt.
Dolores is survived by a grandson, Craig (Louise) Lurtz of Garden City, KS; a great-grandson, Michael Lurtz of Garden City, KS; a brother, Eric Pitt of Chesapeake, VA; a son-in-law, Delbert (Mary Lou) Lurtz of Fairview Heights, IL; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Per her wishes, cremation was held. Interment for Mrs. White will be conducted at a later date.
