Don G. Powell, 79 of Herrin, Ill., born Feb. 2, 1932 in Herrin, Ill. to the parents of Eddie N. and Annie Lavada Powell, nee Childers; died Aug. 9, 2011 at Herrin Hospital. Surviving are his wife Evelyn Powell, nee Wilson and his children.
