Donna was a loving wife and mother and a lifelong friend to her husband of 36 years, Rodney. She loved puzzles, books, and all types of reading.
She was preceded in death by father, Thomas R. Thomure.
She is survived by her husband, Rodney D. Monroe, of Belleville; three sons, David Monroe, James Monroe, and Thomas (Kimberly) Monroe; her mother, Gladys M., nee Foster, Thomure; three grandchildren, Sophie, Lance and Logan Monroe; one brother, Tobias Thomure; and a sister, Judith (Robert) Brownley.
Memorials are requested to the family.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 26, 2011 from 3:00 till 5:00 p.m. at the Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home in Belleville.
Funeral services will be conducted graveside at the Valhalla Gardens of Memory at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 27, 2011 with the Rev. Ann Champion Shaw officiating.
