

Mrs. Leonard was a diehard Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. She loved flowers, crossword puzzles and going to breakfast in the morning. Doris especially enjoyed being with her kids and grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her husband William L. Leonard who died in 1983; her parents, Thomas and Elizabeth, nee Scott, Britt; a brother, Thomas Britt; and two sisters, Rosemary Griffin and Genevieve Britt.
Doris is survived by six sons, William K. (Judy) Leonard of Smithton, Ill., David L. (Lisa) Leonard of Collinsville, Ill., James T. (Lisa) Leonard of Prairie du Rocher, Ill., Jerry W. (Stephanie) of Glen Carbon, Ill., Mark A. Leonard of Belleville, Ill., and Brian K. (Karen) of Red Bud, Ill.; two daughters, Frances (Dave) Lange of Freeburg, Ill., and Deborah A. Price of Belleville, Ill.; a sister, Betty Devenyns of Stephenville, TX. Mrs. Leonard is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

FUNERAL: Funeral procession to leave at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 from Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home for a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, Belleville, Ill. with Fr. Jim Thomas officiating. Interment will be in Ava Evergreen Cemetery, Ava, Ill.
