Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Pluma, nee Proctor, Reed; son, Curtis Lee Chaney; brother, Fred Reed; daughter in law, Brendia Chaney; sister, Virginia Bovinette; and brother in laws, Charles Bovinette and Ray Maxwell and a sister in law, Mae Reed.
Surviving is her loving husband of 70 years, John Chaney, daughter, Linda Carol Thouvenot, Belleville, Illinois; grandchildren, Curtis (Kathryn) Chaney, Anna, Illinois; Olivia (Chad) Parker, Okawville, Illinois; Mike (Mickey) Chaney, Anna, Illinois; and Matthew (Emily) Thouvenot; great grandchildren, Caleb, Johnathan, Makenzie, Aiden, Kade, and Cole; sister, Audrey (Wesley) Kaufman, Houston, Texas and Helen Maxwell of Belleville, Illinois
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Dorothy’s memory to the Salvation Army.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at 11:00am at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, Belleville, Illinois with a visitation from 10:00am-11:00am with Pastor Mike Fowler officiating.
